Sync data from Solidworks PDM to Fusion

To sync data from Solidworks PDM to Fusion, follow the instructions below:

  1. Connect Fusion. First, set up your Fusion integration - follow the instructions .

  2. Connect Solidworks PDM. Next, you will need to have Solidworks PDM live in Violet. Currently, this is done by exporting a BOM from Solidworks in .csv format, and uploading that into Violet. Follow the instructions .

  3. Configure Solidworks to sync to Fusion. In the Solidworks PDM integration panel, select Fusion as the target app from the dropdown menu.

  4. Any future pushes will update existing parts and/or create new parts intelligently (it will not duplicate data).

Alternatively, you can push assemblies to Fusion on a one-off basis.

  1. Navigate to the desired Solidworks PDM assembly in Violet. Under Automations, select your target app and click Push.

  2. Once successful, you will now see this assembly in both Violet and Fusion. Similar as above, any future pushes will update existing parts and/or create new parts intelligently (it will not duplicate data).
