# SysML

### Import SysML into Violet

Violet supports ingestion of both SysML v1 and SysML v2 models.

#### SysML v1

Currently, Violet's support of SysML v1 is direct via Cameo. Check out our [Cameo](/apps/c/cameo.md) integration for more info.

#### SysML v2

To import SysML v2, you'll need to start with a SysML v2 file. Then follow the instructions below:

1. In [Violet](https://app.violetlabs.com/) (or [VioletGov](https://app.violetgov.com/)), navigate to **Integrations** and click  <img src="/files/IS4aq5Ad1Nr6RFUu4LLg" alt="" data-size="line"> to add a new integration.&#x20;
2. Select <img src="/files/C58P9gXESDMWW0XWoH0T" alt="" data-size="line"> **SysML v2**
3. Click **Upload File**, locate your exported data, and click Open.

\[Optional] You can also provide a unique name for the connection based on the credentials you're using, and you can create **restricted permissions** to users or groups:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.violetlabs.com/apps/s/sysml.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
