Analytics

Violet Analytics allows you to create queries, visualizations, insights and reports - directly from the database.

Our Analytics module uses the open-source, industry standard tool Metabase to enable powerful self-serve reporting directly to the user, whether or not you speak SQL.

Getting Started

To get started, click on Analytics in the main navigation panel.

You'll load an existing dashboard or collection of data shared with your instance. Many dashboards are interactive - click to apply filters or navigate to query results.

Violet users with the Administrator role have the ability to create custom dashboards and queries using Metabase's query builder. We primarily recommend referencing Metabase's user manual to guide your data discovery. It has the most comprehensive and up-to-date instructions for actions like creating a dashboard, filtering and limiting data or summarizing data. For Violet-tailored guidance, see Getting started
