Analytics

Violet Analytics allow you to create queries, visualizations, insights and reports - directly from the database.

Our Analytics module uses the open-source, industry standard tool Metabase to enable powerful self-serve reporting directly to the user, whether or not you speak SQL.

Getting Started

To get started, click on Analytics in the main navigation panel.

You'll then need to select a Model, which is a derived dataset that has been pre-built from your data. Models pull together data from different tables into an intuitive but powerful foundation for your analysis - they are the building blocks of Violet Analytics.

From there, we recommend referencing Metabase's user manual to guide your data discovery. It has the most comprehensive and up-to-date instructions for actions like creating a dashboard, filtering and limiting data or summarizing data.
