To connect Jama data in Violet, follow the instructions below:
In Violet, head to Apps and click the Jama icon.
Select New Connection and provide a name for the connection.
Next, you have the option to restrict permissions on the ingested data to certain users or groups. If you don’t need to restrict this data, skip this step.
Select whether you are connecting to a cloud-hosted or self-hosted Jama instance:
Confirm that Cloud Installation is toggled on and complete the URL for your instance:
Confirm that Cloud Installation is toggled off and complete the URL for your instance:
You may also need to confirm whether Violet needs to be whitelisted by your Jama server in order to connect. If that’s the case, use the NAT Gateway IP for your Violet instance below:
Violet Standard : 50.19.87.143
Violet Gov: 3.31.169.141
Last, you can connect with either your Jama username and password, or a Client ID & Secret that you’ve generated in Jama:
Select Basic under Authentication Method, and enter your Jama username and password.
Click Connect!
First, you’ll need to generate credentials. In Jama, click on your name in the upper-right hand corner to access your profile.
In the pop-up window, select Set API Credentials
Enter a name for the credentials and click Create API Credentials. Copy these credentials - you will not be able to access them again (but you can always create new ones).
Back in Violet, select Client Id and Secret under Authentication Method, and enter the credentials you just created.
Click Connect!
