Attach a file

Attach a file to a Violet entity

Upload a file to any entity in Violet by clicking the Upload Attachment button in the top right corner of the entity's detail page.

Some Notes

• Currently, only one file can be attached to an entity at a time. Uploading a new file will replace any existing attachment.

• If a new file is added to the entity in the source application itself (for example, a PDF in Teamcenter), your manually attached file in Violet will be replaced by it during the next fetch. The manually attached file will not be pushed back to the source application

• Iif file pushes are enabled, the attached file will be included in any push to the target application.
