Connect Self-Hosted GitLab in Violet

  1. In Violet (or VioletGov), navigate to Apps and click to add a new integration.

  1. Select GitLab.

  • If you'd like, provide a unique name for the connection based on the credentials you're using.

  • You can also restrict view or edit permissions to any users or groups. (If you don’t need to, you can skip this step)

  1. Toggle Cloud Installation off and provide the URL for your GitLab instance, followed by /api

  1. Enter your API token (follow the instructions here to generate one) and click Connect.

  2. Depending on your IT infrastructure, Violet may also need to be whitelisted by your Gitlab server. If so, whitelist the appropriate NAT Gateway IP address below: for Violet (violetlabs.com) : 50.19.87.143 for VioletGov (violetgov.com): 3.31.169.141
