Jira is an issue and project tracker for teams building great software. Track bugs and tasks, link issues to related code, agile planning, and monitor activity.

Navigate to Apps and select Jira
Enter your Jira URL, username and API token (follow the instructions below to generate one) and click Connect.
You also have the option to control permissions on who can view, edit and manage data. Select Advanced Permissions to configure permissions for users and groups.
Configure your integration and click Create. You’re done!
If you prefer to connect via API Token, follow the instructions below to generate one. Then in Violet, click Show other authentication options, enter your token, and click Connect with API Token.
Jira requires an API token. To generate one, follow the instructions below. Save this token, you’ll need it fetch Jira data in Violet.
Open your Atlassian Workspace Security Settings here.
Create a new API token
Click on Create API token
Click on Create button
Copy the token
Create an incoming link using application links (see full instructions).
In Jira, go to Administration → Applications → Application Links
Click Create Link
Select External Application, and then choose Incoming as the direction.
Set the redirect URL to:
https://app.violetlabs.com/oauth/redirect/
for standard Violet
https://app.violetgov.com/oauth/redirect/
for VioletGov
Set the Permission to Write and click Save.
Copy the Client ID & Client Secret that are generated.
Create a connection in Violet. Enter the url of your server instance, making sure not to have a trailing slash at the end. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret.
Connect via OAuth. You’ll be redirected to an approval page on your Jira instance.
Click Allow. You should be brought back to Violet and the message "The connection has been successfully created" should appear
Choose the Connection If it is not already selected, choose the connection you just created in the dropdown
Create your Integration. You should now be able to select the desired Project(s) and create the integration.
Your integration should appear in the integration list!
