API Token

Monday.com requires an API token. To generate one, follow the instructions below. Save this token, you’ll need it fetch Monday data in Violet.

1. Click on your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of Jira, then select Administration from the drop-down menu.

   
2. Click on API

   
3. Click on Generate to generate a token

   
4. Your API token should appear. Click Copy to copy it, then write it down somewhere safe - you won’t be able to view it again (but you can always create a new one).

   

Select Data and Boards

1. After establishing a connection, you can configure the data you’d like to import.

2. First, select the types of data you’d like to fetch - eg. Items and Subitems

3. Under Select a Board, select the desired board(s) from the dropdown menu**.**

   
4. Enter a descriptive name for your integration (eg. “Violet’s Monday Board” or just “Monday”)

5. Click Create
