Onshape to ION

Getting started

Follow the instructions below to automatically sync data from Onshape to ION:

Create an ION integration

First, set up your Ion or Ion Gov integration, following the instructions here. Ensure that you are fetching the data types that you wish to sync (for the Onshape to ION sync, you must choose Parts).

Connect Onshape

Next, connect Onshape or Onshape Gov, following the instructions here.

Configure Onshape integration and ION sync

Once you are connected to Onshape, configure your integration:

• Select the types of data you want to fetch. Ensure that you are fetching the data types that you wish to sync (for the Onshape to ION sync, you must choose Parts).

• Choose the folders you wish to fetch parts from.

• Specify how often data should be fetched.

Last, configure your data sync:

• Choose the ION integration that you wish to sync to.

• Set the frequency and allowable time window for data syncs.

When you have finished configuring the sync, click SAVE.
