Configure Aras

Aras connects to Violet using an OAuth 2.0 flow. This requires that you add redirect URLs to your Aras configuration in order to allow Violet access. Follow the instructions below to configure Aras for Violet:

1. Follow the instructions here to locate your Aras OAuth.config file. Open the file in your text editor or IDE of choice.

2. Scroll down until you find the section for <redirecturis>. Add a new line and paste the redirect URL below:

   1. If you are using Violet: <redirectUri value='https://app.violetlabs.com/oauth/redirect/' /> OR

   2. If you are using VioletGov: <redirectUri value='https://app.violetgov.com/oauth/redirect/' />

3. Open up IIS and click Reset.

Now you're ready to connect Aras in Violet.

Connect Aras in Violet

1. In Violet (or VioletGov), navigate to Apps and click to add a new integration.

1. Select Aras

• If you'd like, provide a unique name for the connection.

• You can also set view or edit permissions for users or groups. If you don’t need to, you can skip this.

1. Enter the URL of your Aras server and click Connect with Aras.

2. You'll be prompted to select your Database and login with your Aras username and password.

3. Once connected, configure your integration (optional), then click Create. You're done!
