# \[Opcional] Conectar con un token de API

Si prefieres conectar GitHub usando un Token de API, sigue las instrucciones a continuación.

### Generar un Token de API

1. En GitHub, navega a [Configuración -> Developer Settings -> Personal Access Tokens -> Generate new token (classic)](https://github.com/settings/tokens/new).
2. Proporciona un **Nota** para describir el token y una fecha de expiración - **recomendamos no poner expiración.**

3. Selecciona todos los alcances aplicables - **recomendamos marcar todas las casillas disponibles** para la compatibilidad futura óptima de tu token.
4. Haga clic en **Generar token** y copia el token que aparece en la siguiente pantalla.
